An American Loyalist soldier and his girl relaxing. Taken during the Revolutionary War reenactment at the Newtown Battlefield near Elmira, NY. The actual battle was fought August 29, 1779 and was one of the major battles during Sullivan's March north through the Iroquois lands near the indian village of Newtown in southern New York by the Chemung River.
