it's nice to receive suggestions as to what other photographers may have done. The light was really flat and I tried adding some light onto the rock in PS but for some reason the tone matched that of the sand and it looked plain naff. So this is how it was presented but I know exactly where you are coming from and I appreiciate the comment.

It was a beautiful time to be out. I was the only person on the beach it is moments like this that just don't happen often enough.

hi, love the smoothness of the overall image...that rock is one subtle (hehehe) FG interest,eh? great idea to use slow setting to give the surf that satin,wispy look...wonderful perspective and framing of shot,Kiwi...ya done good,my friend!.....very calming image for me...

Like the background light, softness of the horizon and clouds. Great space between that and the boulder but I would have liked to have seen a little more light and definition on the boulder...just a thought.

Very beautiful and peaceful scene Mark, the composition is lovely and the vignette just right here...looks like a wonderful place to take an early morning walk, I like the untouched sand representing newness and untouched territory, a new beginning, very nicely taken...:):)
