An impressive landscape, Chris. You've captured the layers of different light, from the four different altitude levels - lakeside, small hills, large hills and sky. The boats balanced with the trees is a fine touch. This could be painting. Do you mind if I have a go? It might upset the purists.

It's interesting you mention the sharpening artefacts because I'd never really noticed them until my good friend Roger Williams pointed them out. Since preparing this image for upload I've changed my sharpening settings slightly and am now saving at a higher quality.

Its defiantly one of the BEST classical landscape images! the boats placements are great the different layering gives depth and the colors and tones are perfect! Stunning image
Theres seems to be some pixelations around the edges of the highest peek, did you use any un sharpening masks?
Im being picky because I really really like it!
It went straight into my favorites
