About Sorry! My penchant for puns got the better of me again. This dahlia probably isn't called 'Smith' at all ~ it looks more like a Fortescue or Bouquet! But I liked the idea of the play on words on the name of the famous cook and Norwich City fan!!

Still, even if you groaned at the pun maybe you'll like the image!!

Best regards to all,

Chris

Can't be a Bouquet Chris - they're Hyacinths!
Took me a while to cook that one up I'm afraid to say, even though you thoughtfully provided all the ingredients for it!

This image has fantastic colour contrasts with the multiple colours of the flower against a progressively darker back ground. Good diagonal lines in the composition and I particularly like the bud showing through on the top left corner...

Excellent and vibrant shot Chris

(And, yes, Chris, this IS a dahlia!) As for the pun...I guess you have to live on your side of the pond to even get it!!!

A famous cook and Norwich City fan? Her fame has yet to reach Japan... I've obviously been too long away from the U.K. Lovely dahlia though... and looking all the better for the Spracklen treatment, no doubt about it!

Mr S, if the title is correct shouldn't these be in the colours of Norwich City. I was going to answer your comment on my Four Candles tribute shot by saying that I hoped you didn't use cockney rhyming slang for your sermon yesterday but I see see Mr Barker's skill at mispronunciation (I took great care spelling that) has rubbed off on to you.
This is an exquisite image that shows the beauty of the flowers to their full potential. So crisp and colourful. Congratulations.

And I like it, Chris, with its amazing naming path.

Very natural and with sharp details but without being aggressive. Lovely warm colors and really pleasant vignette framing.

Best regards and thanks for your comment.

Mmmm, you've got me wondering now, Carolyn!
IS it a dahlia, or some other flower that I don't know the name of?!
If it is, my pun totally falls apart!! ))
Thanks for the kind comment.
Best regards, Chris
