I just love these birds, they're so much like the Herons, graceful and elegant, wonderful close up view Marcus, with perfect exposure, and a beautiful composition. I like that he's touching the water but not disturbing it, so that the reflection is perfect. Excellent as always! Linda

Thanks Pawel, Thats actually the original background, I only did shadow and highlights and a slight sharpen, added some space in front of the bird. but no painting of the bird, I never knew what to attribute the strange water color to? but The original is even darker..

Another great shot Marcus!
There is always something just a little out of the ordinary with your shots. In this case, the touching of the wing tips in the water is so subtle that a lot of us might have missed it if we didn't read the about.
Something tells me there is an award for this one somewhere out there!
