They're in a small pot in my backyard, a gift from our son that had a home in New Orleans. He had a beautiful backyard and all of their plants are gone but I've got this one and I'm trying to keep it alive so I can give him a cutting, wish me luck....I do not have a green thumb. Best way to get plants to grow around here is to leave them alone! Darlene

This is lovely. The purple buds look to be illuminatged. They almost jump off my screen. I love the DOF and the softer lilac flower gives it more dimension. The background is a perfect compliment. Very lovely shot. Cheers - Ann :)

Very nice touch! The thing that makes this image superior for me, beyond the delicate nature of the flower itself, is the soft, pastel background against which you have cast it. Nice set up and execution!

Was getting ready to comment on "Fragile" last night and got side tracked with a phone call and goodness knows what else. Anyway didn't get back to do a comment on that one - thought I'd hurry up and get a comment in on this lovely, soft, delicate shot of the "purple" flower. Do believe I like this one better than "Fragile" - must be the shades of lavendar, and the softer more delicate feel. "Fragile" also has pink flowers and that brighter and darker background in comparison to this shot - almost takes away from the delicate feeling. Actually, these two shots would look very nice as part of a grouping - especially if you had another floral with soft yellows and touches of lavendar and pink. The colors, DOF, and details in both of these two shots are outstanding as your shots tend to be. Well seen - great uploads. Jan
