I like this unusual portrait, i think i wrote the same on the other one. What i like is the fact that i don?t see your face directly. First my attention goes to the details, patina, colours and the room behind this window and then i see the face. Something not expecting!!! A thoughtful person and also someone who not seems to agree :)

Hi Elisa, actually it's the same picture on the same house, different sizes and locations. My favorite is #2! Thanks for your nice comments!

Hi Ina! I compared this to number 1. This one is more colourful and somehow your expression is a bit more worried ... or is it? :) In any case, very good work once again. If I have to choose, I prefer number 1 ... don?t ask me why :) *hugs*

Hi Kelly, I'm sorry I didn't reply to you sooner, I've been away from UF for a few days and I'm still trying to catch up... Actually I had a scarier picture, but I decided not to post it, just for you (:-). Ok, I'll catch up with you soon, and thanks for your comments. It's 2:00 AM here, so I better go now!

Here you go again with the scarey pictures. You have such a beautiful smile, why put these ones in there. No, I understand. This is a good picture to put this photo into. Nice scene. Broken down frame, window missing. Your gonna give me nightmares. Kelly

Thanks Susie, this is a local image, near where I live, near the factories, and so on, by Lake Ontario. I didn't have to travel for this one! I'll catch up with you shortly!

Nice work Ina! Kathy and I were wondering what you do for a living (if you don't mind us asking...!) It looks like you get to go to some pretty cool places. These images today have been really good. You are mastering layers in a big way! Keep up the great work.

All three of these would be very nice all by themselves. The self portraits are just icing on the cake.

Thanks Kathy, I tried to get back into comments today, and first my email was sluggish, and it still is, then UF was down, so I'm really not making any progress! I will be off every weekend from now until XMas... it's hard to keep up with you guys!

This one has interesting lines textures and colours Ina. I do enjoy the bous feature of your image in the window. It always gives it a ghostly haunted feel to the image with the old houses you use. Very interesting series. I like it. Cheers - Ann :)

Nice to have you back, Ina! I always miss your posts and your comments when you are away for the long weekend! You really have something going here! The self portrait theme is cool...and I especially like this image. Of course, you know that I like windows, and this one has really cool lines and textures! Very nice! Kathy

Hi Mark, just to add to what I replied before, my "self portraits" go in a progression of sizes and page placement, from the very small and marginal to the larger and central. It is the same picture, adapted to different window panes, and layer densities, according to the rest of the image. I'm kind of enjoying the more conceptual aspects of PS + photography - or maybe it's just an enthusiastic phase. Best regards, Ina

Thank you Mohsen for all your nice comments. Thanks for the message about the Persian carpets - I also have a number of books on this subject, and lots of links on the internet - it was just a thought of naming some pictures (with red leaves) - because the colors were similar to the rugs. I'll catch up with you shortly, sorry about the late response!

Hi Mark, sorry I didn't reply sooner, I've been away from UF and now my email is terribly slow. I wasn't even sure whether to post this one. Basically, it's the same image in all my so-called self portraits. Not my best looking one, but I liked the hand over my face. Will reply to all your posts, I'm just catching up now.

Very nice work Ina. I like this one a bit more than the first one for two reasons. First, because the window pane containing the portrait seems bigger relative to the total frame size here and so is a bit more obvious, and second because the image of the building, window frames, etc. is closer up with richer, warmer colors and so looks a bit more personal somehow, which seems more fitting for a self portrait.
Great work!
Mark
