Lovely shot, Gayle - I really like the odd coloration you got out of that film! Wonderful soft blur in the wings!

Lots of movement in this image Gayle. Not just in the geese but also the painterly like background. Great moody effect and well timed shot.
Cheers - Ann :)

Hey Gayle, I almost missed a couple of your posts. I especially like this one...fog, reflections, ducks...what's not to like? I'm trying to keep in touch. We've been busy as you can imagine, but UseFilm is a nice distraction! Good job here with the action.

This is just mesmerizing. Perfect shutter speed. And the reflections add a ghostly touch of mystery. Beautiful shot.

Wow, very nice, Gayle. Perfect choice of shutter speed, detail preserved, but enough blur to really give the sense of motion. I like the lines in the water, also. Beautiful shot.

I like the shot alot but looking at it I think it might be a bit stronger if you removed the reflections. I think then it would look like a painting or a more uniform abstract. The birds with the blur are perfect. To me the reflections kind of pull my eye away for a moment. Very nice work still. Mark PS Art Wolfe doesn't like me. I feel asleep in his seminar so he gave me a quick, mini lecture once. (true story)

hi,did ya know wolfe is from Seattle?...have always loved his work since i first saw it in the early 70's at REI which is an old hiking equipment store in Seattle...they always display his prints along the walls ...i couldn't find "rhythm of the wild" listed for him...maybe you could send me a link via email...i loved watching these geese hit the water and then just as quickly take off again...the fog made the scene so dreamlike thanks,my friend! regards, gayle

Hi Gayle
The touch of movement in this image is the winner for me. Like the work of Art Wolfe check out his rythm of the wild work.
