Thanks so much George, I don't think I'll ever look at an eagle again with out thinking of the Muppets! The 600mm is quite a lot to carry around but I'm going to keep lugging it around until I can't anymore, then I'll have to sell it and get a smaller lens! And most of the recent eagle shots were taken from my car with a beanbag on the window. Take care my friend......Darlene

Fabulous capture of this majestic pair Darlene. The title for your composition is dead right too. The eagle on the right hand has it's chest puffed out and it is filled with pride. Wonderful sharp details. Well done my clever girl. Best wishes to all of you....Ray

Really fabulous. It looks as though they were set up and groomed for the shot. And 1200 mm--wow! That and the essential big tripod makes for great gear, but it is incredibly challenging to use . . . And the way you consistently get such results--amazing.

Hi Darlene,
I know what Chris means when he says they look like a couple of characters on the Muppets. There is definitely one of the Muppets that has a similar look to the one on the right.
Another thing.. Isn't it interesting how both of these birds have their feathers a little out of place on their left shoulders. Is that what you call it with a bird? (shoulder). Anyway I thought it was interesting.

They really are a proud bird, aren't they? Every winter...should be starting any time now...we get LOTS of eagles in our area. I just know that as soon as they show up I am going to want a different camera with a telephoto lens!!!
