Beautiful image Dave! I love the curved bridge and the lamp posts, wonderful mood with the fresh snow. I love how the snowflakes are contrasting with the dark background, the way the trees form an arch over the bridge, and the way the haze completes the view at the end of the bridge. Very romantic. The yellow signs are great for color and symmetry, and the message is a bit surreal in that context. I bet this place looks great in the fall too :)

Merci, drilan

Dave, it's great winter scene, nice perspective and layout of the frame with the bridge, lamps and the fading down far background. I like the snow flakes captured still in the air - those are like good spices adding to the overal great taste of this picture. Cheers, n.j

I love the undisturbed snow on top of the side guards and the flakes contrasting with the yellow signs. I thought Canadians were undaunted by a little snow. I walk a bike path almost daily and am often surprised to see bikers out in bad weather. Del

Hi Dave, This is very nice! Great composition and perspective. The colours are wonderful. The thing that makes it really special is the fantstic snowfall captured just right! The snow flakes around those old fashioned street lamps reminds me of those old turn of the century shots of Central Park. Andre

Without doubt any snow-shot is attractive, but making a decision for the right image, the right contrast and angle are very important for making a beautiful photo like this! You are expert for being in the right place and in the right moment! A very thoughtful footbridge with an endless view! Dear Dave! I am not photo-expert, but you don’t think if you took a shot also in a bright sunny day; it would make a stunning picture? Maybe I’m wrong, but it’s just a consideration! Best friendly regard: Maxime

A very beautiful Winter's scene my friend. I remember these days when I lived in Scotland, I was young and didn't have a camera then. A wonderful composition starting in the corners and those gorgeous olde world lanterns topping the bridge. A worthwhile photo in any season I would think. Well done Dave...I love it.
