Hey man

Een echt mooie foto. De sfeer is heel mooi door je vast geleegd. Dat kan ik zeggen omdat Emil en ik op dat moment achter je stonden. Zoals je kan zien ben ik ook begonnen met het fotograferen en het op deze site zetten.

Groetjes jimmy

Lovely subject and lighting - it looks very pretty taken as a long exposure at night.
I think it is possibly a little over-exposed which highlights noise in the image - but that could easily be fixed with software.
If you were to take the same shot again, I think it would benefit from a shorter exposure, and moving the camera position so that it is in front of that road sign (so that you can't see it!).
A very pleasing image.

Hmmm, something is off with the WB or it is slightly overexposed. A little post would fix. MHO only. Otherwise very nice.

I adore photography at the night, but unfortunately not get any well successes until this moment!
The dark background has taken away all unnecessary images and lets just to attention of subject. The light-green (almost sea-green) colour has made the image of St. Pietro amazing. I like specially the reflex of the light, shining mystery as same as the sun!
Absolute an amazing shot!
Best regard: Maxime

The colouring in this is really good - the golden lights set up the grey green center well. Love the dome. Nice work and congrats on making the front page - nice pieace of writting.

Super shot, Lex. Quite a grand effect. The yellow buildings frame St. Pietro beautifully, making it seem almost like some lumbering giant in the background coming towards us. Well done!

Well done night shot, Lex! Very nicely lit at that shutter speed. I like the composition, as well.

Hi Lex, very well captured nightshot. Probably the best one I've seen from you. The trail of the tail light adds a good touch, and I think the composition is well balanced. I think it's rather difficult to prevent the flare of the streetlights, but with a bit of postprocessing, you could remove the yellow tone a bit (not entirely, just a bit less) I noticed with my nightshots / long exposures with film, that the tones always come out a bit too yellow. Using a blue filter might also work. Just a suggestion, I do like this shot as is...

Cheers,

Hugo

PS: many thanks for your comments, I'll reply to them a bit later...

Cheers,

Hugo
