Hi Hugo. I first thought that I clipped off the bottom of the pedestal in cropping, but I reviewed the original and that's the way it is on the negative.
I love turning wood. When I need to take a break from snapping the shutter I go to my woodpile and grab a chunk of maple, oak or walnut, and see what it becomes on the lathe.
