About Dylan Titles#7.
Oudtshoorn, South Africa.During a cycle from Port Elizabeth to Cape Town ( over 10 days! ) I spent a night in one of those huts, but higher up the hill. The night before there was a magnificent lightning storm all over the mountains but my camera had not arrived..This is how it looked 1st thing next morning. I had to drag myself away from here I can tell you.Magical.
3 more to go for now in this series. I should explain the photos have nothing to do with the lyrics of Bob Dylan's songs, only the Titles seem to me to fit the photo. Its a personal thing. I would value your opinion Please. Larry

there may well be some truth in manu's critique, but also i think this is how you wanted to remember the scene, wishing you had a more powerfull lense on a tripod at the time, good composition all the same,. thanks for comment on (curiosity), i like to think the text was needed, & thats how cola got her name, she's as black as coca cola, regards art,.

Hi Manu, and thanks for your honest critique. Looking at the original -pre PS, it does look fine as it was. Bear with me a while though, I'm going totally digital on new material after two more Dylan titles. Keep an eye on me as I value your opinion having studied your porfolio. Regards, Larry

Hi Larry

A lot of your images "appear" like they have had an aweful lot of "rescue" work done to them....like you can see something in the originals and are keen to show us what you see. Like this one, I think too much work has been done to the contrast and is distracts from what I'm sure you wanted us to see.

The crop is great but once again the quality of the final image would suggest that to extreme a crop has been used.

Now you're gonna tell me that this is absolute BS but I can only comment honestly on what I see. A lot of thought and emotion are behind all your images and I think, with a little bit more basic quality checking in place, will produce something nearer what you want.

Cheers for now

Manu
