About This is one of the guardians, mythical animals, sitting by the second Torii along the "Wakamiya Ohji", the grand avenue spanning 1.8 km from the temple of Tsurugaoka Hachiman to the beach at Yuigahama. Behind this Torii there is a portion where cherry trees bloom profusely and people enjoy the walk to admire the flowers. Kamakura is an ever busy town, visited by Japanese and foreigners alike.
