Hey, we got the same moon in Canada. Except it's too cold for me to go out and try for this. You must have had lots of light for that fast shutter speed. Thanks for posting the exif. BTW, nice shot with lots of detail and good white balance.

Very nice placement in the frame, and interesting detail. I agree it feels a little oversharpened. Did you use mirror lockup? I'm not sure if the IS completely neutralizes that factor. A minor 'curves' adjustment will bring out better contrast. Full moons tend to lack detail because of backlighting. Good exposure.

Thanks, Paul. I got some good advice on this item and am very happy with it. With the camera's factor, the 300mm works out to 672!
