John, I considered cropping that stuff out, but then I would have to retitle it!..;). Actually, I kind of like how it frames the shot a bit. I could see cloning out some of the lighter area in the upper almost far left (just right of my wife's chin) so the darker area in the upper right is more continuously dark. But then maybe, I'd be thinking and fooling around with it too much..! Thanks for your comments..:).

Very nice shot. It's amazing this is 1600 ISO and still looks so good. I would have cut some of the image off on the left, but no matter - it still looks great.

I haven't been using levels as much as I used to. I'm more partial now to curves and the shadows/highlights adjustment in CS2. In this particular case, I think the wide spectrum of light in the scene helped too.
