Thanks Britney...this is from last summer (probably July or so) We don't have flowers yet except the random daffodil. We actually had snow today (it melted quickly though) so winter is still hanging on!

Hi Susie,
I didn't see the original crop. But I think this one works. The reason being that the expression in the eyes is very strong. I think this is one example of where it is acceptable to cover up the mouth and nose in a portrait.
Ps
You also have that little hint of cheek line there to show that there is a big smile behind the flowers. :)
