Same notes as version #1 in the series....
Taken along the road to the top of the Marin Headlands. The south facing cliffs along the road, glow red at sunset, and expose the force used to create this massive hillside fo the bay side that looks down on the Golden gate Bridge.
Using the borrowed 100-400L on a tripod, taken from directly across the street of where I pretended to have car trouble... to get the shot. ;)
I agree. This was always #2 in my mind. It's flat, unlike the CC version. I concentrated on the lines here, and discovered the same thing you noticed.. there's no interwoven, or colliding shapes laying over each other.
Funny to see how the single green leaf in the top right quadrand doesn't manage to pull off what the tree weeds in the previous one did; Also, the more straight forward line play in the geologic lines compared to the interwoven / meandering lines in the CC one make this photo more static.
Still, by no means a less intriguing study of lines and shapes.
