About This image is a brief outing on my current work and ideas on disguise and identity. trying to touch up on cultural and relational aspects to the society. My thought, and idea, is of how women feel the need to mask their natural face. Make-up in question? Is It a disguise or part of one's identity? I suppose a few gender issues raise priority in my work...damn essay.

We see a hand infront of a face associated with lying something to hide. ( maybe its just to hold the petals on ) The eye's direct gaze demanding contact. The person slightly out of frame again suggests hiding, not in full view. The dark space adds mystery, the unknown. The flower petals we associate with perfume fragrance again masking the real person. The hand to the nose could be associated with how we smell things. The ear confirming that this is a person is central and waiting to hear from us?? A graphic image suggesting how we disguise ourselves, but also comments on the inadequacy of a photo, no smell, no audio. However this does not show the normal everyday you. How a person off the street would normally see you. You could progress this theme further by combining showing both in a multilevel way, just 1 suggestion. L&L dave b xx

hey Tony, thanks very much for your comment, much appreciated. I agree with the black...I didnt want to over do it. And I tell you it was hard sticking the petals to my model.

great composition, I like it how one side is hidden out of the frame and the other by the flowerpeddles. And the reflection in the eye is the great centerpiece. How on earth did you create that. It's like a whole other world is in her eye, maybe its her innerworld, her identity, to go along with the idea. great work, well done
