This is beautiful. I love the presentation and the rich background within the photo also. 2nd and third are my favorites, I might've missed the rationale with regard to this sequence but I feel another view of the flower completely from the top would've been good too (in place of the first one perhaps). The first and the 3rd seem somewhat similar to me, the third being the better imo. I loved many of your photos... will be back for a detailed look. Thanks a lot for your comment on my photo.

Phil -
Like you, this was done in iterations with feedback from the community. The final set has sold twice (framed), which is unusually good. I'll also have one up at my first showing. The power of UF is very strong if you have an open mind and listen.

I have always liked this one Michael!
This is a great presentation....reminds of expensive sconces.
I love that you picked the best from the 9 cell image, and presented them to compliment each other. great color balance between all three! Not an easy thing to do with those tones, but you pulled it off perfectly.
Way to go on the double award! You deserve it my friend!
cheers, -joel

THIS shot is my favorite shot of the series by far. Excellent color and composition on each of the panes. The three shots perfectly compliment eachother. Great work.

Superb colors and those "speckles" are just to die for...haha! Spot-on arrangement and balance trio..if I were to make a slight change it would be in cloning out the middle flower stem....just a thought
So, smashing BG lends itself very well with the subject matter....cheers
All the best

AT LAST A MEANINGFUL CONSTRUCT..WHATEVER MEANING IT CARRIES!!!THAT'S SUBJECTIVE....THE RELATION BETWEEN THE BACKROUND AND THE COLORS OF THE FLOWERS IS WONDERFUL...THE STRONG LIGHT YET SUBTLE SHADOWS GIVES A FRESH ACTIVE ENERGETIC MOOD

Alright, it is beautiful but I can't swing with the 'almost symmetry', argh! Mike, would a woman with one breast hanging noticeabley lower than the other have aesthetic appeal? Either the left had to be angled up or the right down to my eye. I do, however love the DOF and the subtlety of the shades, very beautiful.

Hugo:
The stems do have speckles as do the leaves. The reason the name is a "trout" lily is because the speckles look like a brook trout.

Hi Mike,
Good triptych, and I find the matching hues of the frame, the background, repeating themselves in various shades in the flower too a great find. Very subtle and a very nicely balanced series.
I also think the sequence is well balanced, but it somehow lacks the element of surprise; the overview becomes a bit static due to the symmetry you applied in the selection of the photos. This sounds worse than I mean, I actually rather like it, and can't really offer a useful suggestion, and I think the idea is very well visualised.
Just curious about how the speckles on the flower originated. Can't believe it has to do with the post-processing, so I guess the petals and stem were actually speckled?
One thought that crossed my mind is that I think it could be a nice idea to let the backdrop continue throughout the series; In other words, using one single backdrop, and three flowers, neatly arranged, and dividing them up into a triptych in the post-processing. That might create an awesome effect, and compensate the trivial comment about the static element in the composition easily.
Cheers,
Hugo
