I like this one. It reminds me of when I worked in daycare ...all the waiting moments the kids went through...putting their boots and jackets on and waiting for everyone to finish...and how I felt being a part of it all, how I began to know them and feel protective of them in their everyday vulnerability. This is what kids look like a lot of the time and I'd rather see them this way with all of their random and real expressions than with portrait studio expressions...this way has more emotional impact. It gets beyond seeing and into knowing. You've shown a lot in one frame...movement, thought, tiredness, imagination, distraction...melikes.

Outstanding. It doesn't get any better than this.
Alisa; your pictures are consistently leaving me with absolutely nothing to say. It must be a good thing. It feels like a good thing.

Very cool Alisa. Looks like most of them had no idea a camera was pointed at them. An excellent candid!

I agree with Bob about you eye, its truly unique and I love what you see with them. Can I borrow them some time as I seem to be a bit myopic when its comes to artistry. This is just a wonderful shot. What I like the wholeness and fragmentation of the shot, if you know what I mean. Wholeness on one level because of the aggregation of kids, fragmentation due to the fact that each seems to be in his/her own separate little world at the time of the shot. Very Zen! I like it a lot Alisa.

It's definately one fo the best holga shots I have seen. What happened to the rest of the images you had posted Alisa? (Nevermind :) I found your homepage)
You see the world with such a different eye than I do, I enjoy looking at it, and often wonder "Why didn't I try something like that."

I'm beginning to be intriqued by children in an unposed environment. I also think the toy camera is not such a toy in your hands. That "bad" lens helps to abstract the mood, if you know what I mean.
