Joel;
Car will be assessed and time of death called on it. I just opened a different claim on my rental car, which was pounded by tornadic hail. Check out the size of this chunk of ice... At least the size of a golf ball.

Thank Hugo!
....man...I tell ya, this is *not* an easy town to shoot in! I had all afternoon yesterday to walk around and shoot, and it's such a crowded town of building that lack the detail that you would expect from a dense city. I did find a few spots that had me twirling around on the sidewalks...but for the most part, in looking at everything I shot... it's mostly sh!t (pardon the term) but wow...what a frustrating place on every account! ...happy to be on my way home! ..as I sit in the airport, waiting for my delayed flight. ;)
On to the image comments! :)
The sign for the Hilton lends itself to so many great angles. It's so freakin huge, that you find more art with your eyes than you do w/ a camera lens. I'm glad that you like the balance here... was very lucky that the first two letters were 'HI' ;)
thanks again for the great comments! I'll get some more images up when i get home! ...I guess you can say that even shooting in Vegas is just another form of gambling ;)
cheers, -joel

Thank you Elisa!!!
I agree w/ you on the sky color... I did have a version that I was about to post w/a deeper sky, and in the end, I went w/ the natural desert sky color.
...it's all about the lines ;)
thanks again Elisa!! :)

Hi Joel, If you continue like this, the abstract series from Vegas will be awesome.... I couldn't bring myself to gambling, nor shooting in Vegas, so It'll be nice to see a few of the sights again...:)
Clean shot, and very well composd image. The high level of saturation works well, as do the unexpected element of the angles / diagonals in the building. Very cool shot.
Cheers,
Hugo

Hi Joel! What a clever way to send greetings :) I´d like the blue sky to be a tad deeper/stronger, but it´s the lines that matter here :) Cool compo/crop; well seen!

Beautiful abstract and Hi to you Joel. The blue and the diagonal lines remind me of the hard-edge abstacts we did in art class many years ago. As pretty as that is the red HI on the other side really balances the shot. Well seen. Enjoy your stay.

Bet you spent less money in the parking lot than the people who gambled! (and "Hi" from Japan to you, Joel!) Although I don't know... The Japanese news yesterday mentioned an 84-year old woman who won a million dollars in a slot-machine jackpot. They said she had had three immediate proposals of marriage. That must have been QUITE a pile of quarters. I hope they counted them for her.
