Impressive and frightening at the same time with that dark sky and anonymous people. As a matter of fact, I have been looking at this lens and was wondering what you think about it. i also looked at the Sigma 12-24 mm, but it was pricier.

Hi Uwe,
Berlin? Ja Berlin ist die geilste Stadt Deutschlands - mindestens fotoseitig. Was ich da an 2 Tagen geknipst habe, ist schon abartig. Motive allerorten.
Mit der D200 klappen solche Handhelds übrigens noch besser =)

This is a strong evocative image, The short lens was a perfect choice, and the 1/2 sec. exposure--Wow! Good work . . . Regards, --George

Hi Thilo, Nice effect created with the very extreme wide angle. I like that kind of toning a lot too, as you know. The toning also suits the subject well. The quality shows through nicely in panarama format. Unfortunately we have to scroll to view and this kind of takes away from the effectiveness of the image. One of the reasons I don't like scrolling a pano shot, unless it is a series of images. Andre

Hi Hugo,
You're right with several things.. =)
I removed the yellowish glow. And the shutter was not 1s, but 1/2. With 10mm, you may be able to do that. No tripod here, I would remember that because this image was done after a 12 hour foto marathon =)
Thanks for the indepth critique.
Thilo

Hi Thilo, clean image, very well exposed, and I like the postprocessing, removing the undoubtedly yellowish glow... Handheld at 1s? Pretty impressive! Hard to believe you didn't use any support!
The centered (vertical) alignment of the vanishing points is very cool, it reproduces the feeling of the size beautifully. Very nice indeed.
Cheers,
hugo

I thought this was the Brandenburger Tor. Isn't the Reichstag around the corner? Anyway, the photo is great!
