A good stage shot, Chris. Possibly a little too symmetrical with the black space in the middle. You have an interesting portfolio. Too bad you can't get digitized more often!

Keith, Thanks for taking the time to crop and adjust this image - I do like your take on the scene - I like that the panoramic format seems to emphasise the slightly absurd line-up. The levels adjustment is something I currently have no experience with - my photoshop skills (as well as my traditional darkroom skills) are very limited, but I am planning to learn this side of things.
To answer the previous question by Marc which I missed before, the performers had walked a circle around the ring, and had just arrived at this point, where the whole line was in the process of kneeling - so the performers at the back were still moving into position.
Thanks again Chris

Chris, I would like to suggest a different crop which I think makes the shot musch stronger. Crop just above the plates (see attached image - hope you don't mind the use of your original)
I also changed the levels in PS to brighten it a little, tell me what you think.

Marilia, Marc, Thank you for taking the time to comment on my image. Between you, you have summed up a question I have had in mind since I took the shot - to crop or not to crop! I agree with Marilia that the top area lacks interest, but also with Marc that the lights serve to set the scene and guide the eye. I also think the exposure is a little dark. Reading both your comments I think perhaps the best approach may be to crop the image to just above the main row of lights, removing the top few lights. I will try this! Thank you for your interest! Chris

On second thought, i think the whole thing could've been a bit brighter. But good job considering the situation!

I find that the light beams effectively take the viewer down to the main subject, and the towers frame it all nicely. The exposure is good, I think. Were the performers standing still?? Cheers, Marc

Chris, the top of this picture is very dark and it distracts from the main subject. I like the bule colors and the foggy on the performers. Maybe I should consider a different croping. Marilia
