Thanks, Lily. The vineyard maybe was not so flat as you have seen, but for me, on the bicycle, it was at the end of a steep road, and I HAD to stop to take a rest;) I had preferred a flatter area;) But then I saw the statue.

Thanks, Petal, I appreciate your kind of humor. But it wasn't yet the wine;-) I tried it the way you suggested, but then I get the statue centered and the whole image a bit too "even". I prefer it more "odd";)

Very pretty scene, Markus! I agree with Lily that the tree frames the statue and the vineyard perfectly, and I also agree with Petal that it would help the weight of the shot to crop the left side into the tree trunk. The blue on that side draws the eye away from the main subject matter of the shot. But, (of course) that just MHO :) Very nice!

Very nice image. Wonderful scenery and colors, great composition... well captured!! Might I suggest a tiny crop on the left so that the image starts 'in'/against the tree... Hope that that wasn't the state you were in after tasting the wine... having someone to drag you home... LOL!! (BTW no disrespect ment to the pietà or you... ;-D)

Markus, You are getting artistic. The tree frame is so perfect for this scene. It balances the statue.
Beautiful vineyard in rolling hills. The vineyard we were at last year around this time was flat as a pancake and very boring.
