this is a great capture, but sure is especially heartbreaking when you know just what that fire is destroying. Oak Creek Canyon is one of my most favorite areas to drive through during the fall as the trees up there are about the closest AZ can come to having "typical" fall foliage. Sure hope they get it contained quickly so that the homes along the canyon are not destroyed too.

Hi James,
Yes, I used a Hoya Super Multi Coated Pro- Polarizer.
I also Thought about useing a 4 stop Graduated ND filter. But opted to use the Polarizer to enrich the blues in the shy. Thanks for the look. Sam G

Were you shooting with any filters on your lens?
I like that even the rocks are aflame.

WOW that is beautiful, if destructive. The colors and lighting are good. Details on the cliffs are sharp. Good work!
