Annemette, these guys do run and swim very fast. I have two. I name them Touche Turtle.When I was a kid we watched a cartoon by that name. The cartons were short, but Touche had a trusty sword (that was bent) and he heroically saves queens, maidens and others in distress.

Cure cute! I also had a waterturtle as a child that I called "Kamikaze"...They can run so fast if they get the opportunity!

Thank you Jessie. Yes they have very long claws, and they make a growl sound when they don't like something, like being picked up.

Thank you Michele, not posing, just wandering. Normally when we clean the tank we put them in the bathtub. This time we set them in the puppy pen in the yard to get some pictures. They appeared to love it out there. They are water turtles who appear to love the grass.
