About This sheep was standing perfectly still on the windswept uplands of Dartmoor in a brief lull in the driving rain. She seemed quite a heroic figure to me (soon to return to my warm car) enduring the cold and wet as she does throughout the year. I deliberately chose an "against the rules" centred design to emphasise the stationary scene - I am interested in how this comes across. Thank you for your comments / crits.

Great shot, the colours and contrast of the sheep are superb. You have a brilliant portfolio and I have really enjoyed looking through it.
I am interested to know how you find the S3, I use one and know my way around it and find it a more than capable camera, it has copped a fair bit of bad press and am always interested in other users experience with it.

Peter.

Thank you Howie. I was trying to include the weather conditions and the exposed position of the sheep in the upland landscape as part of the composition which is why I kept the sheep quite small in the total frame. You may get a better feel of the scene by viewing it "large". Best wishes, Jonathan.

I think you did well under the weather conditions. For me personally a closer capture of just the sheep and the tree would have been more effective considering the weather conditions.
