First off Ray, Doyle does not mind you calling me sweetie, that just makes me one of the girls. The flower is a very vibrant orange and it is really hard to do the flower justice as a close up, yet I really wanted to show the center. Think I will try the color from a little farther back. Thanks for your comment.

Thank you Mary. I really worried about putting this up in B&W, as the flower is very orange including the center and it was really hard to get the flower to look as pretty as it really is.

Awesome details in this wonderful conversion to mono tones my dear Marlyce. I particularly love the crystalised effect in the centre of the bloom, looks just like the pieces of crystalised fruit that wife enjoys at Christmas.

I have never done a monochromatic floral personally, I cannot bring myself to surrender nature's beautiful colours, BUT I am always full of admiration for those of you who do and sometimes quite envious of the results. This one is excellent Marlyce....well done to you sweetie (I hope Doyle will forgive me but I call virtually ALL the females in my life 'sweetie') All the best to you....Ray

Now to me this really is intriguing. A brilliant close up. I could see and imagine so many things. The B&W works so well.
