Thanks very much Avi . . . I like the cliches as well as I like these . . . though you're right, there's a larger market for the cliche shots and these have at least a degree on uniqueness!

Beautiful capture, taken from a nice perspective Doyle. I really like the way you used the road and the fence posts to lead the viewer in and through the image. Very beautiful light and warm tones, nicely done!!

Welcome aboard Kim . . . the family name you carry here is well known on this site. My wife is new too and has recently joined the site . . . You have some talent to bring with you and great tutors (i'd imagine) but the site really does help us to improve. I look forward to seeing more of your work and hearing from you from time to time.

Tell me about it Doyle.....Heather exhausted me (take care with your imagination my friend:):)) in Ireland from a large variety of climbs. Visiting one place and going down their famous 99 steps was great but where was my piggyback for the return journey?? I had my full camera pack and tripod and sympathy was missing as well:):)
A good shot with great tones, details and textures and I for one thoroughly appreciate and empathise with the sheer hell you went through on that day my dear friend. Cheers....Ray

This looks so real! I like the upward angle and the lemon flowers. The colours and diagonal line make it for me.

Hey Doyle...camera bag or not at least you were at the beach instead of work! Also you know how our canine friends love to show off their athleticism...just to make us look bad! Ha Ha. This is a great shot. Kim P.S. Thanks for commenting on my picture. I'm brand new to photography, but I can tell it's going to be fun.

Thanks Klaas . . . keeping in mind this is the view after the hairpin turn and the even steeper climb 2/3 of the way up the hill . . . add to this me being out of shape . . . and (viola!) it converts into a 45 degree incline for all intents and purposes!

Loks like an easy climb indeed Doyle, but, only from my chair, with your camera and other things it would be a different story I suppose. Take care,

Thanks Shirley. And while I did win an award for a photo taken on this path . . . and while I appreciate the comment VERY much . . . I can pretty much assure you that the walk was more pleasant going down!! This view upward is in a hairpin turn of the path about 2/3 of the way up. Here I could get rest (whew!) from the (puff! Puff!) climb and LOOK like I was just busy . . . not resting!! :)
