Exactly Paul. Glad you got the joke of the title. My guide said lions sleep up to 20 hours a day.

...but when you're a lion, Ed, isn't MOST your day 'pre-nap' ? ;)

What a richness this safari has brought to your portfolio. Your work seems to have gone from strength to strength.
This is another exquisite shot capturing a beautiful subject in repose. David Attenborough would be proud.

Thank you for your comment Sean.
The cub was a cute little thing, hard to take a bad picture of that. The Mom, or at least the one I identified as being so, was behind to the left, while the yawner was further behind to the right, most likely a sibling or cousin.
All the best, Ed

This is such a cool shot. It is so clear and the cub so beautiful. I've always liked lions, maybe because The Lion King was my favourite film when I was little. Is the yawning lioness the mum?

Thank you for your comment Cathy.
This little guy was sitting only a few feet from Mom and they were among a whole pride, so no reason to worry.
Glad the children are still enjoying the shots, let me know if I am missing any animals.
All the best, Ed

This cub looks so relaxed, with the upturned front paw and the crossed hind legs. Big feet! This has been very popular at our place. You have very kindly suggested we let you know what animals we want to see. The first time you aked, I asked the children and they said "rhinocerous"' and behold it appeared that very day! You are doing a great job keeping us entertained, and the guessing what's next is half the fun. Thank you from the Willows Early Learning Centre.
