Thank you for your comment Dave.
Although it was still towards the end of the rainy season, there were a group of elephants (herd?) in a large swamp/marshy area.
All the best, Ed

I know the size of cattle Egrets Edward, thus the elephant must be huge. Great shot. Regards Ron.

A two-toned elephant! While everybody loves elephants and their supposed gentle ways (probably from seeing them in circuses), I was watching a show the other night about how dangerous these guys are. They were showing Niger, where many people are attacked and killed by elephants on a daily basis. Hard to believe.
Looks like there is a lot of water on the ground. Was this monsoon season or did this just happen to be a swamp?
Best wishes Dave

Thank you for your comment Lana.
The little bird actually isn't that little, it is a cattle egret, the same kind that is with the rhinos in "Odd Friends": http://www.usefilm.com/Image.asp?ID=1145590

Another great safari pic. I love the little bird in front..really goves perspective to the size of the elephant.
