You live in a very interesting place... seeped with not only water but some nice history too... I love the 'Emerald City' name... though my head is in the clouds there... don't think the buildings will be made of green glass. Nice to hear you guys have your sewage sorted out though! lol

Seattle, before grunge, was only famous for rain. It is called Rain City. During the rainy season (about ten months out of the year) everything is green, even the sidewalks. For this reason it's also called the Emerald City.
Before we had paved roads, the ruts from wagon wheels where they crossed at intersections could get very deep. The intersections would get worn deeper and deeper. Then it would rain and fill up the whole thing. A little boy drowned in an intersection. Hence the law. Never mind that we pave now and have an effective sewage system.

Interesting law. In Seattle there is a law requiring a life preserver on every street corner.

Bless... think the Welsh can keep their fruit... or I may stand by the Law that states we can shoot Welshmen with a bow & arrow if they are seen wandering around after midnight!!!!!

Aw, I think that thing, being so green and all, is really just a plant with legs. Maybe it's the famous Walking Welsh Bacon Fruit.
