Very clever idea of combating the weather here. I really like the framing you have used and the overcast day has probably helped with the detail. Instantly recognisable yet original (I hope I dont see this on a million postcards now!)

I love tight crops...this is an excellent example of how you don't have to have the whole round in the picture...it works as is...especially seeing two sides...there is a lot of detail to be seen...I'm assuming this was a scan and you seem to have lost some resolution...just a tad soft...but a wonderful image with excellent color and lighting...p.s.I was playing with a new filter on my picture Rose Hill...I added the info to the pic...hope this explains the hills

I'm thrilled to see this close up. I got a pic from the usual angle (attached and in my portfolio) and really appreciate what it took to get this one, it's a very tall building! It's amazing that you can even read the gold lettering, well, you could if you could read Latin. Great to see a familiar "face" from a different perspective.
