About Before the sun sets in Keswick, those enjoying Derwentwater head off for the night leaving the lake a quiet place to be shared only with the ducks. These boats are busy during the day, being rented out to tourists.

Metering in the camera would make this look like daylight, so I underexposed by 1 stop which allowed the colors to come out a little more saturated. While I haven't modified the image that much once the image was loaded, I made lots of adjustments in while importing from the RAW file.

Looks great, nice work,
Unusual boat. I like the spiral shapes. Do you have any where you can see the reflection of the spiral shape on the end?
I like the lighting and exposure too.

cheers,
nicole

Wonderful shot, Dan!
Beautiful evening colours and superb composition!!
Kind regards, Chris
P.S. I'd be tempted to try cloning out the retaining wire ~ it would be a tricky job, but might well be worth it to improve an already excellent photo.

What ever you did you did a good job.
This picture has such a even balance of colors.
Rich wood tones, nice reflections, and a perfect mountain background.
Excellent job.
Lee
