Lots of good colors in this shot Michele, I used to have one of these trees growing next to my house while growing up, made for some tasty snacking while outside playing.

Thank you Bruce . .... I am learning that getting in the shade makes for much better exposure and color !
I did read a bit about your style of phototgraphy and I do like it very much altho a bit of color enhancement on ocassion is sooo helpful for me.

I appologize I have been calling these blue berries and I know they are black berries !! Our blue berries sound the same as yours altho I wasn't aware of the improvement of eye-sight ! I could stand to eat more of them. We always say carrots improve our eye-sight here in the US. Cranberries are wonderful as a natural anti-biotic that I sware works like majic too... I do know all about the depression in dark cold climates ... I sometimes don't even want to get up when the days are so very short and cold... like a bear I'd rather hibernate until it is over !! I am happy you had a nice warm summer... We did too , and we don't always either here on the coast... Our climates sound very much the same as we do get snow on the beach as well. Take Care, Michele~

Thank You for the correction Doyle . I knew they were blackberries and they take over the entire yard if you let them. The stickers Oh my gosh your fingers hurt for days but the rewards are worth it ...So good on ice cream too !!!

Hey Michele . . . My grandfather grew loads of these and we would pick them for him. They're not blueberries, they're blackberries. The blueberries are round and smooth . . . these are hard to pick - especially for kids . . . the unripe ones are wonderfully tart and the overripe ones would make the sweetest jams and jellies my grandmother could make. Plus there's the stickers! Boy, this brings back the memories!
Regards, Doyle I <~~~~~

Blueberries in Scandinavia are smooth and darkblue, and they´re used for improving people´s eyesight. I don´t know how to upload a photo in the commentssection- do you?? Yes, like you I´m also sad to see the summer slowly fading away. If only we´re sure to have great long summers every year then I would greet wintertime, but often we have awful cold rainy summers. This has been the best summer ever though:-) The winters are so dark and cold, and many people go to work in the dark and come home in the dark never seing the light. I lit candles, read books, make hot chocolate, listen to music etc. but some people get very depressed during the wintertime. You come from Oregon, so you must have a clue of what I´m talking about! A beautiful state as far as I know with a stunning natural scenery. Enough babble, take care, Annemette

I love berries, and we have so many of these berries in the garden. We call them "brombær":-) Blue berries is another kind of berries in Scandinavia. Nice colourful shot that indeed shows that summer is slowly fading out:-( Take care, Annemette
