The white poster board sounds like a good idea. I like the idea of adjusting it for a pastel look. The thing for me is, I don't know enough yet about white balance adjustment and what my camera's capabilities are for this yet. However, someday, I'll figure that out. When I think of how much I have learned in a year and a bit, I am quite pleased and looking forward to learning more and more.

I think my shutter speed was somewhere around 1/8 sec with the flow as rapid as it was, Mary. There was much sound generated by these rapids in the river too, such that you probably couldn't take a nap on the river bank. Thanks for the note on your orchid work. I have a black cloth too, Mary, but I prefer to use a white poster board for the lighter colored ones and adjust the white balance to give a pastel look. Thanks for stopping here. Thanks, Emgy. I have a whole folder of just "water" shots. I wrote a scientific paper on it once that was somewhat against conventional wisdom, which water is, a mystical substance. Anson

This was taken, Jo, while standing in the middle of the Nantahala River (NC) with the water rusing around me. One of my photo teachers said I should get to know all my subjects! Thanks for the nice comment my friend. Anson

Now, this is neat. My eyes are not sure where to look so they keep moving around with the water. I don't see your shutter speed, but it is slow enough to give some of the water a cloudlike look. Creative composition.
