Very well done macro shoot - abstract & interesting. It looks like a floral fabric. Like the color and details. Regards - tuck

a fantastic macro...I love the Mcon 35 and use it a lot...you have done anexcellent job here...if it were mine, I might crop a bit more of the soft focus forecround out...leaving the brighter red spots to act as your frame...as the viewer, my first thought is that the edgesa are washed out...which I know they aren't...but why not trim it away...good and sharp

...and what can I say...I am a frame nut...I do believe that presentation is important...and sometimes the frames work...and sometimes they don't...and sometimes they are just simple...and sometimes they are none (though rare)...thanks for the comments

I like this as an abstract. I know it's a flower but it seems more like an abstract. To me, I would have liked it more if it were composed differently. I know it's a matter of personal taste to some extent but if it hadn't been so centered, I would have found it a more interesting composition. Also, it would look better to me if the edges were burnt in. The way the light gets brighter makes my eyes kind of wander off the page.

Looking at the thumbnail I thought this was some kind of sea creature. Then I enlarged it and it now looks like some kind of outer space alien crawling out of a very fancy hole of some sort. Cool. There are so many wonderful bulb flowers blooming this time of year and some of the inner workings (stamens and such) are the most interesting parts to zoom in on to photograph. This is a fun photo and you've done a good job with focus.
