An interesting subject. However I think the light could be improved. It seems too direct with a harsh shadow in behind. Perhaps some more diffused lighting and lit from the side to emphasize the detail and texture of the piece and to minimize hot spots. Could be sharper too. Use of a tripod and a bit more USM in Photoshop or whatever program would also improve this.
