Hi Dave,
Thanks for the comments. I took a look at Rolands picture of this car and I'm kicking myself for not noticing that angle!! ;-)
The 10-22 is my second favorite lens, next to my L series 28-300. Even at 10mm, there really isn't too much barrel distortion. It's a GREAT lens, and I highly recommend it..

Ah yes, I have seen this old car right here on Usefilm. Roland Lacson has an incredible shot of it as well.
I like the angle you've used here and especially the wide angle. Having a 30D myself, I'll have to look into this lens you are using.
Best wishes, Dave

Hi Dennis,
Thanks for the comments. Your comment on the horizon is dead on, and it's been killing me ever since I got back from the trip! I wish I had gotten lower to get the roof over the sky. Would have been a more dramatic shot with clear definition.. What is everyone's thoughts on manipulation of photos? I could do a bunch of photoshop work to lower the horizon... Stay tuned!

Packard? Love to have one of those things up and running. Nice shot. I like the stretch effect from your perspective.

Great perspective and capture of the details, Alex! I love the colours of the sky and grass, too. Dave.

Let's see - a polarizing filter and a deep winter sky (that is snow I see in the lower right of the picture isn't it?) Nice DOF and composition. My only suggestion has to do with the horizon line - was there any angle you could have taken this shot that did not have the horizon running into the roof of the car? Maybe if you had taken this from a slightly lower angle the roof of the car would have stood out more against the deep blue sky, but then maybe that would have ruined the nice perspective you have of the car. Overall I like this picture a lot - nice job!
Dennis
