Thank you so much Paul. I was looking with the composition to sort of create a "wedge" effect with the shadow and light, to "frame" the model. I hope I have succeeded.
Warm Wishes My Friend, Ani:)

No, your work is not the "same". What I meant was that there are very few photographers on this site whose work stands out from the rest. Yours is one of them. :)

You are very kind Jim!
I understand your message, however, I really feel the intimacy with a "real" camera and "real" film. I am so not sure I could ever do a good job with digital... as of yet anyway :)
Thank you!
Warmest Wishes, Aniko :)

Aniko. Your photographs are outstanding. Whether they're film or digital, the magic is in the way you "see" not what records it. Regards, Jim

Dear Shirley: I think I might be eventually if not converted to digital, at least have a digital camera other than my quick snap Mavica!! LOL... I have recently borrowed a friend's digital Pentax and have posted a couple of images here somewhere from those rare occasions, but I LOVE film... and I can still get labs to process film, just not "special" processing as easily, my friend. I will fight tooth and nail to keep film alive! LOL!!! (And the freezer keeps film very very well, Dear Shirley... my "sacred" films are frozen... the "tougher" ones are in the fridge, but I must use them fast as they lose speed etc evenually. I have come to realize that much of my film is ANCIENT!!! Effects could be rather interesting!!!)
Warmest Hugs my Friend, Aniko :)

You're welcome, dear Aniko! Well, I am converting to digital also...didn't know if I ever would, but just the little experience I've had with my new camera has spoiled me. I'm still keeping my analog N90 and have quite a bit of film in the refrigerator that I need to use. I'm very fortunate to have two professinal labs here that both still process film.

Hi Gabino!
Your comment is kind, but I also ondered if that means my work is just too the "same"... lol... The lighting for the cross processed image was very simple. The shot was actually made just on nightfall, with model squatting down in front of our rain water tank.. that is the marvelous green textured background...(our ancient green concrete tank, without which, we would have no water...I live in the mountains...) Anyway, the lighting was a single large 1000 watt lamp. But I ramble... and no, I have not tried the new Portras yet. I have a stash of old film frozen in my fridge, as I can be pretty certain how they will perform. It is also becoming more difficult for me to purchase film from my usual labs... (mumbles mumbles re digital taking over the world!!!... ROFL!!)
Warmest Wishes and Thanks again my friend, Aniko:)

Thank you Dear Shirley.
I was considering making this B&W, but I think I prefer the desaturated cross processed version. (Sadly cross processing, one of my favourite processes, as it is film and not digitial... lol... is becoming more difficult to have developed in labs. Two of my favourite most faithful photo labs have closed recently owing to the digital onslaught... it makes me sad. I am a traditionalist in the sense of enjoying a non digital camera and using film.)
Hugs to you, Aniko :)

I don't even have to look at the photographer's name to know it's one of your works of art. I abosulutely love the lighting on this one. Also, it seems that you always know how to choose the right films for the right shots. Have you tried the new Portras yet?

Excellent! The shadow and dark areas lead the eye from reality to the abstract. Nice style!
