Nice photograph. I like the contrast you have created with the sand. The composition and colour of the thongs work well, a crisp feel. Nikki.

Thank you very very much for the info, Megan!
Well, indeed that filter gave it the "final finish".
Keep well,
Nick

Thank you so much for you comments Nick.
I used a filter on the sand. I can't remember which one it was though. I used a similar one on the art room chairs. Two completly differnt images but the both work well with similar filters.

The shoes lack a bit of texture here, but this is more than equaled by the extremely strong color. They seem to pop out of that darker background. But still their color looks... like a shining shadow!
By the way, how did you managed to get the sand looking this way?
All the best,
Nick

Havianas are second only to silhouettes. havianas are the foundation for life. Without havianas, the world would stop. These, being blue, remind me of the sky and the ocean. The high contrast emphasizes the blueness and make the sand look really bumpy and cool. There is a very small footprint just above the right thong which is cool. Good sharpness. I like how you left them normal and added contrast to the rest. I think the quality of the image would hvae been lost if u made them high contrast too. Good work Soph xx
