Marcus in CC,wonder why.
Beautiful capture with open beak,the positioning is perfect at the edge of the trees.Nice catchlights and colors.You take what you get shutter speedwise given the lighting but in my opinion the closer wing isn`t your usual tack sharp but I would be jumping over the moon if I shoot this.As in good portraits the most important prerequist is met,the eyes are tack sharp with the catchlights.
Just my humble opinion but what do I know.

Hi Marcus,
When I was out at lunch time earlier today, I saw a large Red Tail Hawk sitting on the top of a street light in the rain. The funny thing was, there were two pigeons sitting with him!! I don't think I've ever seen anything like that before?
Of course I had no camera with me :)

Beautiful capture, Marcus. The details are sharp and clear, and the DOF is perfect. Great exposure-- You must have been almost at the same level as he was to get this shot, it almost looks like you were flying right along side of him.
