My wife has always to live in a house like this, Robbie, since it is old perfectly restored, and has all the modern conveniences. Lots of trees, for sleeping under too. Thanks for the comment. Anson

This picture has somewhat grown on me, Tim. Glad you like it too. The flare I was speaking of can be found as several small points of light within the foliage of the tree to the left. You really have to hunt to find it. The rainbow effect to the right is due to the rapid change in light intensity over a short distance. Regards. Anson

Hello Anson, this is another nice one. I have to differ with you on the flare. I am partial to a bit of that now and again. The photograph has a sublte pastel-like quality. The hints of green and purple imitating a rainbow in the upper right hand side is very subtle and adds greatly to the image.

The term "cracker" in the southern US goes back to an cow poke who used a long whip, hence the "crack" sound, but it has become generic for early settlers throughout the south. I use the term "home" to mean a place more refined than a "shack" or a "cabin". Furnishings include glass windows, and indoor furnished kitchen, etc, although many of the older homes had separate kitchens. Anson Thanks for the nice comment on the picture.

Another "cracker" of an IR shot (excuse the pun) :-) Anson. It actually takes on the appearance that it's lit by floodlights, very appealing. Just a question, where does the "Cracker Home" come from? regards John

An 8 frame panorama, Yazeed, made using Panorama Factory. I am pleased you like it. I particularly like your "Alone" at the beginning of your portfolio. It has great composition of lines converging, repetitions, balanced shadows/brightness, and especially depth. A true classic. Anson

Glad you like this one, Sharon. It is a stitch of 8 separate images. Waited too late in the day to shoot this so that some flare popped up in a couple of them. Plan to reshoot today if the sky cooperates. Your "Flower Girls" image is great; keep your knack for making your subjects smile. Anson
