LOL Liz... Lighting courtesy of kitchen window... They are quite easy to snap... Think mainly because edges are sharp and clean and the focus grabs... Which is great ~~GRIN~~...

Hi Giuseppe... :)... They are unusual... This is another of same family... untouched... no PS... but again with that little *cone* type centre... which I think is really the flower as such...

The metalic colours are normal on these... Not sure if they are a Banksia, but very similar in makeup... Hardy, long lived as cut flowers and dry quite well...

~~GRIN~~... Hi Robin... Actually not from my own this one... Was in amongst a bunch I had given to me... :) They are very tough, couple of different colours, another was lime tones with a different centre... Me being me, I couldn't resist lining them up and begging them to say *CHEESE* ~~GRIN~~...

Black in front and a feast of colours back: very unusual! I like very much the shining tonalities of red and the high lights of the petals. Good photo for me, Leonie.
