Great pic Sandra, I really like the contrast with the black bg and the detail in the stem. With it being hairy.....?? Didn't think it possible to get a discussion happening on pumpkin hairs...then again...... did you consider waxing and if it is a grandma pumpkin; I am happy that you only shot the "head"...
A well seen pic, I could look at one forever and it would never dawn on me to shoot it...I look forward to what you see next :)
Peter.

'Hot' as in blown out, too bright etc etc, which gives the nasty side effect of loss of detail, maybe filter your light to soften it a bit....fried liver, one word...re-bloody-volting and not at all like lovely pumpkin (no wonder you were about to hack him up...pumpkin murderer!) and..... half the shots I take are blurry so I can't help you there except to say practice more, take three times as many shots as you think you need (you will get three or four lucky ones that ARE in focus) and drink more!! Because even if all of them turn out blurry, then at least you have an excuse and you are so merry that you don't care and they all look in focus to you anyway. Just make sure you do all of your editing and uploading before you get sober and only look at them on the site when you have had a few first. Sure fire success! B xxx

Ok ok...firstly...i detest pumpkin...DETEST...it's like eating packed enzymes. and yes i have eaten packed enzymes in my former life as a meat eater in the guise of fried liver. secondly, this is me you're talking to..what do you mean by "hot"...please explain...actually i havent worked out how to get the focus points i want properly yet as this stem thingy was a few cms long and not parallel to lens so was out of focus...THIRDLY? thankyou :)

Yay...Siberian silo solitude squashed!!!! Been having fun? Did you manage to hold off until you got ALL of your work done? Ooooh I love pumpkin, roasted, mashed, rolled in stuff yummy, yummy, yummy! Nice dof, maybe a little 'hot' on the stem and wikkers in places, but great colour, detail and crop. A very pretty pumpkin. cheers, Bek

LOL....I could imagine this pumpkin heavily plodding along and pulling the drawer from the hall stand and then standing on tip toes to pluck it's hairs....of course that'd mean it had eyes...and legs...and arms.....yeah well...

Way to go again... Sandra, the vegie patch is your oyster, so to speak... This is great, love the colour, the light and the crop, yours as well as the pumpkin... :)
LOL to the *grandma pumpkin*... Mine used to always stop at the hall stand and do a quick pluck with the tweezers before leaving the house... :) My grandmother that is not the pumpkin...:)

Oh, I like this crop! Very appealing to the eye. Good colour and contrast due to the dark background. Fascinating to see the little spikes, thorns or whatever you´d call them in English:-) Best wishes Annemette
