Sorry Jill, I missed your comment. I appreciate your feedback and comments. With MPe-65 you have to get the front of the lens very close to the subject. Fortunately, the fly was rather lethargic and sat still for sometime while I took a series of shots. Thanks for viewing.

Thanks for the very kind words Dave. I used only the glowing edges filter and as you say adjusted to get the best effect. Try it yourself it's easy and you get amazing results. Here is the original without the filter.

What a great macro shot and the PS effects are pretty darn good... did you use a light opacity for the glowing edges or simply adjust the filter to your liking?

Actually the PS was quite simple. Some people on another macro forum were experimenting with edge enhancement filters on macros. They were coming up with some really interesting and unusual creations. This is my effort applying a glowing edges filter in Photoshop Elements 5. Glad you like it.
