Okay:-) I did think that you mentioned some hilly areas at some time. It must be great living in a region where you can experience both the cold and warm weather like this. Take care

Oh that sounds fascinating, Andre! It would be special to see some shots of those fish almost hybernating under the ice. Incredible that they can survive like this. That always amazes me. Best wishes Annemette

Hi Annemmete, There is a large shallow bay at the mouth of a river near where we live. We sometimes skate in this area. Occasionally when the freezing is just right, we can actually see some fish directly under the ice. They seem in a state of suspended animation between the ice and the mud. At first it looks like they are frozen, but if you look close you can see their fins and gills moving slightly. Andre

Thanks Mary - Iīm glad, I could take it from this angle and not from under the ice though;-)I always think of the people that get lost under an icecap not being able to find the hole where they fell in. Scarry! Take care Annemette

The colours and patterns captured wonderful in themselves. And it certainly makes us think and see more!

Annemette - I truly love the muted colors of nature in this picture. It appears so abstract but when you drill down in the view you can see the bubbles and the expression of life under the ice. Well done. --Best to you, Jan
