This was a quick shot... the patient is my husband's sister who has been severely retarded and institutionalized since she was 4 years old. She was brought into the hospital last night and I got this quick shot while my husband was with her. I know it's grainy, but I like it.. the "moment" was definitely captured.
Mia, this is a great shot. I am also new at this, however I think the most important aspect is not the technical expertise but rather, the vision or artistic approach. Anyone can be taught to take a "technically good" picture, but not everyone knows when and what to capture on film. You obviously have that gift! Great job.
Mia, Thanks for sharing the 'moment' with us. Even before reading your comments, I could tell what the story was in this photo. Two hands touching this way is a powerful image. For me the trick would be how to capture the moment without interrupting the moment... I wish your husband's sister much luck and health. Sam
