I like this one and prefer it to the colour shot of the restaurant. This one is more complimentary to the restaurant. The B&G is very good.
All the best, Joe

Hi Andre, and thanks for your comment. This Fran's restaurant is on College St., near Yonge, across from College Park. It's very different from the others because of the canopy and light bulbs, it looks like a typical American burger place. I wish there were more like it, but maybe in another part of town :) Best regards, Ina

Hi Ina, Yes, this is the type of image we were talking about earlier. Getting down into the close quarters of the street. The B&W suits the image well because of the sort of semi-historical aspect of the image. You have set it up nicely from this angle too. At first we are drawn to the large Fran's sign, and then we notice the leading lines of the pavement and line of cars. Then we move up to the small welcome sign. An alternative title could have been "welcome" or maybe not? ps I do recognize the restaurant. I can't say I remember being in this one, but the Fran's at Younge and Eglinton was a spot some of us used to go to after hours when the clubs closed down. That is going back quite a few years. So the image brings back some hazy beer fogged memories. Andre

Wonderful Story told with your cityscapes. I Love the dramtic B&W tones of this shot. They reflect a sence of Freezing cold. I also love the crop you went with. Well done and taken and presented.
My Best Regards

This is fantastic... it's got the feel of the work of Gary Winnogrand or Lee Friedlander... that edgy B&W street photography that often focused in on architectural iconography.
